| I'm stuck! I can't write my final poetry take-home essay. It's so important. And I'm so close to having a really good grade in that class. I've done all my research and made all of my notes. All I have to do is write. This is usually the easy part for me. And now I'm stuck.
Just a few more days... and then this semester will be over and I can spend all of Christmas break worrying about the things I didn't let myself worry about during the school year. It's "this time of year" that makes me a little spacey. This year its twice as bad. I'm not home with my family for the holidays for the first time, and my work schedule won't allow me to be home much over break. And in 3 weeks my son will be a year old. For one thing, I can't believe he will be a year old. He's grown up so fast (yes I know all parents say that, but still, time flys) and then for another thing, it just hits me hard that it's been a year since I've seen him last.
I just want to work on my scrapbook! I'm about 9 months behind in my book. And I really, really need to finish my scrapbook for Joshua over the break as well. And a million other things I want to get done before school starts again in January.
| It's my very own internet!!
Merry Christmas to: Me, from: Dad
So don't give up on me fellow xangians, posts will be much more frequent.
Here's a quick update though. I'm about to lose my mind at work. I can't hardly handle the stress. My manager dumps a zillion projects on me, then I get called up to cashier half of the night then I have to go back and straighten my entire dept, plus those depts that don't get their own stuff done. Christmas is not coming soon enough. If I can make it through my first Wal-Mart Christmas, then I'll be ok. But it's going to be a rough 14 days. Ha, today I went to work on Saturday, got off on Sunday and have to be back later "today."
School is wrapping up really well. No tests! Lots of essays to write in the next few days. But no tests. I couldn't add that to the stress from work.
Sam and I... well I'm not any good at relationships anyway. I don't know what'll happen. I take out all my stress on him and I don't know how to correct that.
Let's end on a happy note....
I have the internet! | | |
| Ok. I'm not going to get a good grade in my Lit class. Here is why. Prof. Goldbarf told our class today that we are all either stupid or lazy and arrogant. If I have to pick, I would much rather be on the latter side. Also that if we didn't pick up right away the fact that the poem we were reading was a sonnet, that we shouldn't be in college. Ah, the support and encouragement at WSU is incredible. When I am in his class I feel destined for success. Wouldn't you?
I have never been so anxious for Thanksgiving break in my whole educational career. I am ready to go home, see my family and have no school for three whole days. Plus the way work has been going lately, I need a break from it too. I know that come January I'll need some sort of mental vacation or else. I'm about to strangle most of my co-workers. I was very close last night... How can these people do that, how can they stand around and not work and not get caught and feel ok with it? How can they just screw around while a select few work their butts off? I HATE SLACKERS.
The XBOX 360 came out last night at midnight. The crazies were out in full force at the Wal-Mart store yesterday. It would have been ok, except for the first person in line. He was a grade-school aged kid. His mother dropped him off at 8am to wait in line for the xbox to come out at midnight. 16 hours this kid sat in a chair at my walmart. His mother had pulled him out of school to do this. I wonder how he ate that day. I think it could be child neglect. People are sick. The rest of the xbox crazies were ok. I really wanted to watch the fight ensue about 12:01, but I got out at 11:40. Which at that point they were all standing up and looking anxious. The police were there. It was quite the day. There were more crazies camped outside of Best Buy in the freezing cold last night when I left work. I believe I heard that Best Buy was not opening at midnight, but that those people were camping out until this morning. Wow.
Tomorrow = Hutchinson. Hooray! I am bringing Sam with me and we are just going to be able to hang out in my town and meet people and see my fish. I miss my fish and my dogs. I'm excited about being there and being able to relax and actually enjoy having a minute of free time. So I'll post more from my parents computer. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

| Well my parents met Sam last week. It went ok. We went out to eat at a noisy resturant which wasn't the best idea. Sam was so shy and speaks kind of quietly, so add in a strong accent, it was really hard to make conversation. But I think it went better towards the end. So I wanted to wait until they had met him to post pics, but now xanga is being very uncool and I can't post pics. My sister got to meet Sam on Saturday. So that's the whole family. It's just all been very... good.
Attn: If you are shopping anywhere but Wal-Mart... you are getting ripped off. Ok I admit it, I just love Target, but it is just really much more expensive. They have some better made or unique things, but when it comes to groceries.... geez. I don't have every price point in the Wal-Mart store memorized, but I do know a few and they are cheaper! And of course, I think we all know to avoid Dillions at all costs. Yet, the largest company in the world can't figure out who is supposed to be covering who's lunchbreak. I plan on becoming an expert on all things Wal-Mart. Except speaking Spanish, I just don't have time to learn Spanish.
Sam and I share a locker at work. This is interesting. You are randomly assigned a locker when you begin; girls share with girls, boys with boys. Somehow, Sam and I have been assigned the same locker. I didn't figure this out until I saw my locker combination written on the back of his badge. He never uses it, but it's still kinda crazy and neat.
| I just don't have a lot to say. I'm just in awe of this little guy.
